Seamos realistas: el Antiguo Testamento puede ser desafiante. Si no tenemos cuidado, podemos llegar a conclusiones equivocadas acerca de Dios. Este año, el primer domingo de cada mes, estudiaremos historias y pasajes "difíciles" del Antiguo Testamento relacionados con el carácter y las acciones de Dios. Por ejemplo: ¿cómo es que Dios es celoso? ¿Cómo pudo Dios ordenar la destrucción de naciones enteras? ¿Por qué el Dios del Antiguo Testamento parece tan diferente del Dios del Nuevo Testamento? Estas y muchas otras preguntas serán parte de nuestro estudio. La meta de este año es conocer mejor al Dios que adoramos. No debemos ignorar el Antiguo Testamento (Romanos 15:4; 1 Corintios 10:11). Dios lo incluyó en la Biblia para que aprendiéramos de É l y llegáramos a conocerlo más profundamente.

Let's be honest: the Old Testament can be challenging. If we're not careful, we can come to the wrong conclusions about God. This year, on the first Sunday of each month, we will study some of the "difficult" stories and passages in the Old Testament that relate to God's character and actions. For example, how can God be described as jealous? How could God command the destruction of entire nations? Why does the God of the Old Testament seem so different from the God of the New Testament? These and many other questions will be part of our study. Our goal this year is to know the God we worship more deeply. We should not ignore the Old Testament (Romans 15:4; 1 Corinthians 10:11). God included it in the Bible so that we could learn from it and come to know Him better.
